Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

I would like to think that I’m not one to say I have a sweet tooth… I don’t really crave cookies and candy, but my weakness tends to be milkshakes and ice cream. Like, I love them. I don’t know if it’s the texture, the creaminess or the toppings, but I just love it. I like finding ways to enjoy and satisfy my craving that tend to be a bit healthier. One of the things I find that’s come pretty close is this chocolate smoothie bowl! Let’s put that blender to good use like we know how!

Blenders are such a magical thing! You can really throw pretty much any combination of a juice or milk in there, add some fruit & yogurt and WHAM! You’ve got yourself a smoothie. This recipe takes the traditional smoothie up a notch because you eat it in a bowl, with a spoon. It’s a smoothie bowl!

I can’t even begin to tell you how great this is, it’s so healthy and takes like ice cream! You really won’t miss all that not-so-great-for-you ingredients and instead you’ll be surprised how good the healthy fruit and nuts taste on top. The toppings are the fun part!
