Jalapeno Popper Baked Turkey Sliders

If you all don’t care for jalapeno poppers you might want to stop reading now….

For those of you that LOVE jalapeno poppers I’m going to need you to make these sliders RIGHT NOW. Not only are they cute little mini baby turkey sandwiches, they’re filled with yummy stuff inside. You get crunch from the bacon, spice from the jalapeno and not to mention the OOEY GOOEY GOODNESS from the creamy cheeses. Here’s what your little assembly will look like:

So it’s pretty hard to tell but the tops of these cute little mini baby sandwiches are covered with melted butter seasoned with all the goodness- cumin, garlic powder and onion powder.

Then the panko bread crumbs.

Put your beautiful pan of sliders in the oven. Wait 20-25 minutes for all the flavors to merry together and there you have it!

I could probably eat an entire pan of these things. Just sayin’.

Jalapeno Popper Baked Turkey Sliders

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound deli turkey
  • 6 large deli slices Colby jack cheese
  • 6 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 large jalapeno, diced
  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Panko bread crumbs, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Separate rolls and slice in half.
  3. Spread each roll with 1 teaspoon cream cheese. Add turkey, ½ slice cheese, bacon, and chopped jalapenos. Set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter and spices over low heat.
  5. Pour melted butter mixture over sandwiches in baking dish.
  6. Top with panko bread crumbs.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese has melted and bread is toasted.
